This was drawn for the first contest: draw Ritos in a modern setting. So I drew this. I think it speaks for itself. Characters involve (from left to right) Quill, Medli, Komali, and Link. (Plus some little folk-- Navi and Makar.) Heaven knows we've all had fun times like this!
Except not as crappily colored. X( And definitely not with Navi, who I am not sure how jumped into the picture. I am quite certain that she is not even faintly in Wind Waker or involved with Ritos. As a result, in this setting I am relatively sure she is an exotic Rito snack food.
THIS TOOK FOREVER TO DO and it doesn't even LOOK like it! Part of the reason is that I've NEVER worked with color like this before. (I stink at coloring, period.) The low point of this picture has to be the Evil Clam. The "plushie" was actually supposed to be a throw pillow with fringe. Then I said to myself: "Starrie, that looks like an evil clam with big fangs." So I drew it like that. Then I made a poster. They're a French punk rock band and their mascot is that purple clam, who talks with a strong French accent.
If this is horrible, THIS IS BECAUSE I WAS RUSHING. However, advanced critique is VERY welcome and I hug all of you commenters!
I would like to thank my Internet gremlin for making this take ten times longer. AND say that ~cat-chan rocketh for letting me use her scanner AND her internet (so I don't have to walk to the library! booyah!) Also, many thanks to the club administrators, who allowed me to sort of "enter late." >_> Wheee.
Good, but I thought it could be brighter. Once I get soem paints for art I'll be ableto do more colorful drawlings. Good job, btw did you get the note I sent? If you ever want to chat on AIM from ~cat-chan computer or whatever, let me know what time you will be on (Eastern Time) and maybe we can do that and work on a artwork through that system, if you can. Art classes are going well, one more thing, how long did it take you to do that?
this is hilarious! i love their expressions and the master sword through the controller!

No, Elijah, you can't tig on a tog, you can't tag on a tig, you have to do an elephant impression if you're gonna tig Billy. If Billy's gonna tig you back you have to get on your knees and pull your trousers down. ~Dominic Monaghan
There's a reason the color isn't brighter. It's because when a tv is on in a dark room, the shadows are huge. I couldn't achieve it very well (first time I've EVER tried anything with this many major shadows), but in fact, I thought I used too FEW shadows. I would say it took me about 10 hours at the most (combining the time I took to draw the sketch on paper with coloring, which was a pain because of the heavy shadow). Anyway, thanks for the comment.
yes, I got your note.

The Geek Side. XDD Pokémon, Fritos, and an evil purple clam, all in the same pic! CAN THINGS GET ANY MORE RANDOM?!
I like the way you did the talons...especially with Quill and the sandal-thing I love Link's expression and his resignment...I can just visualize Quill saying '...Link, you owe Komali twenty bucks now...' and Komali...angsting...
LOL, THANK YOU. I love the randomness. I was giving them triangular Dorito chips but went with Fritos. So now we have a strange combination between the two: Dofritos!
Yes.
SO glad you like it

Great attention to detail with background-a superb contest entry Best of luck [I'll try to enter next one too lol curse my laziness and business, a lethal combo ]
Like how you did the character and the colour works really well in bringing 'em out to emphasise ^^
